1. What is the Difference Between Normal Lithium and Lithium Complex?
Normal lithium grease is great for standard use, but it melts around 180°C. Lithium complex grease is chemically altered to handle much higher heat, usually up to 260°C or more, making it better for extreme industrial jobs.
2. Can I Use EP 02 in an Automatic Greasing System?
Yes. EP 02 is soft enough (NLGI 2) to pump easily through the long plastic tubes of an automatic lubrication system without clogging the small valves.
3. What Does the EP Mean?
EP stands for Extreme Pressure. We add special chemicals that bond to the metal. If a sudden, heavy shock load hits the bearing, this chemical layer stops the metal parts from scratching each other.
4. When Should I Choose EP03 Instead of EP02?
EP 03 is a stiffer, thicker grease (NLGI 3). You use it in large, slow-moving bearings or equipment that vibrates a lot, where a softer grease might easily shake out of the housing.
5. Is This Grease Waterproof?
It is highly water-resistant. While no grease is completely waterproof if soaked underwater forever, lithium complex holds up very well against rain, splashing, and standard water wash-downs in a factory.
